ITCHING ANUS : DEFINITION , CAUSES , TREATMENT & PREVENTION

DEFINITION : 

This is intractable itching around the anus .

CAUSES : 

1. Anal discharge : Anal fissure , anal fistula , piles , polyps , genital warts are few conditions which renders the anus moist .
2. Poor hygiene , lack of cleanliness , excessive sweating ,& wearing tight & underclothing are common causes .
3. Threadworms another cause.
4. Allergy ,diabetes .

TREATMENT :

1.Hygiene measures .
2. Antifungal agents .

TO AVOID :

1.Toilet paper .
2.Soap .
3.Too tight underclothing .
4.Too many ointments .
5.Local anaesthetic cream .
